I See it Every Day

Anyone who knows me knows I love Facebook and just about any other social media website. Because of my love for social media, I have many friends! Since I have many friends, I feel I have a unique view into today’s economy and the impact it has on our families. I have seen many of my friends lose their jobs and struggle to make it from day-to-day. It seems like every day, the discussions about job searching and mortgage paying increases.

A few of my friends have looked at low income housing as a way to save money until the economy turns around and the job market strengthens. Low income housing no longer resembles the projects that littered cities in the 1960s and 1970s. Many low income housing communities are well-kept, high quality apartments and houses that you can rent. Renting is a great alternative to buying during poor economic times because it allows you the ability to move once you get back on your feet financially.

We are a work from home family but CJ is considering going back into the workforce simply for additional financial stability. After looking at several low income housing listings online, I would not hesitate to move into one of these homes if it meant keeping my family fed.
