I worked in the medical field as a medical assistant for several years. The attire choices were pretty limited back then and even though we got to wear scrubs of our choosing, we still had to wear frumpy lab coats! I really had wished I could find a lab coat that fit my body type.
Today, if you landed a job in the medical field, no matter as a medical assistant or a veterinary tech, the choices available when it comes to medical scrubs and uniforms is plentiful. In fact, many are very stylish and flattering to wear.
I found a bunch here: http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/ -- an excellent site for the type of lab coats and scrubs you will love to wear to do your job in the medical field.

Make the Phone Stop Ringing!
It is a good thing that the world relies on mobile phones instead of landlines because it gives you the ability to stay in contact 24/7 regardless of where you are at. However, when debt collectors start calling, that instant connection to the world becomes a serious hassle.
I was trying to call my friend yesterday for about three hours when I realized I had forgotten to unblock my caller ID due to a call I had made earlier in the day. I unblocked my caller ID and got through to my friend on the next call.
She was very frustrated because she is behind on many of her bills and she can’t stop collection calls from coming in to her mobile phone. With my “unknown” number compounding the situation, it seemed like she really needed to contact someone that could help her with stopping these calls while she works to pay off her debit.
I felt very sorry for her as I’ve been in her situation in the past. I can’t pay her bills for her so I promised never to hide my caller ID on her again. I also showed her how to put her mobile phone on silent for when she really just needs a bit of quiet time.

When I Worked Outside the Home
I worked in the medical field for several years before becoming a stay at home/work at home mom and when I say the lab coats I had to wear were very uncomfortable, I speak from experience.
The lab coats I had to wear were unisex and very boxy - definitely not comfortable or flattering. I had always wished there would be a lab coat made more for a woman and now there is. Too late for me to enjoy but for any woman who is in the medical field, I found this site: http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/Original-Scrubs that has cotton lab coats that not only fit perfectly but are comfortable.
This is such a huge deal for women. No more wearing boxy, unflattering lab coats. Finally, something stylish!

Thoughts of Another Baby
Seeing how Dante reacted to Jaclyn when Jenn was here made me feel even more than I did before that I would love another baby. I even have a blog about it - Just One More Makes 4 - however, that blog kind of turned into a weight loss blog, until we return from our Disney vacation, then I'm sure it will go back to making babies, LOL.
One thing I need to think about is income. I really don't want to go back to the medical field. I had so many 'work' clothes and not enough regular, every day clothes because I practically lived at work. Although, women's lab coats sure are much nicer than they were when I was working, I still love my jeans and not having to wear anything special to work every day!
Oh well, I suppose I'll cross that bridge when I get there - IF I get there.
